1.5 to 2-tonne forklift rental
This is the lightest class: for pallets of up to approximately 1,500 or 2,000 kg in a warehouse, a shop or a small production hall. We do not have a 1-tonne forklift; for a load of 1,000 kg you rent the 1.5-tonne truck. The electric 1.5, 1.8 and 2-tonne models are 3-wheel trucks with a small turning circle, suitable for narrow aisles. You can read more about this in 3-wheel or 4-wheel forklift and rent compact forklift. With LPG you can rent this class from €70 per day, electric from €75 per day.
2.5, 3 and 3.5-tonne forklift rental
The 2.5 to 3.5 tonne class is a popular size for loading and unloading, production and building materials. Here you can choose from all three drive types. You can rent a 2.5-tonne forklift for €75 per day with LPG or diesel and for €85 per day electric. A 3 or 3.5-tonne forklift costs €80 per day with LPG or diesel and €105 per day electric. You can read which drive type is suitable in electric or diesel forklift rental.
4 and 5-tonne forklift rental
From 4 tonnes we set the price on request, because the mast, tyres and specification differ per application. You can rent electric in 4, 4.5, 5 and 5.5 tonnes, diesel in 4, 4.5 and 5 tonnes and LPG as one model of 4 to 5 tonnes. This class suits heavier pallets, steel, timber and stone.
6, 7, 8 and 9-tonne forklift rental
You can rent electric in 6, 7, 8 and 9 tonnes, diesel in 7 and 8 tonnes. An electric forklift in this class works without emissions at the workplace, including indoors. Choose diesel for outdoor areas and rough ground. The price is on request.
10, 12, 16 and 18-tonne forklift rental
For heavy loads such as steel, machinery and containers. You can rent electric in 10, 12, 16 and 18 tonnes; diesel in 10, 12, 13, 16 and 18 tonnes. The full heavy range is listed under heavy-duty forklifts. Also read about large forklift: choosing diesel or electric.
25 and 30-tonne forklift rental
The heaviest rental forklifts are the 25 and 30-tonne diesels, for transhipment, industry and port work. The heaviest electric forklift in our range lifts 18 tonnes. For containers, read container forklift rental.
What lifting capacity do you need?
Base your calculation on your heaviest load, not the average one. Go through these four points:
- Weight: the load including pallet, packaging and any attachment.
- Dimensions: with a long or wide load, the centre of gravity is further from the mast and the safe lifting capacity decreases. This is explained in load centre of a forklift.
- Stack height the higher you lift, the lower the safe lifting capacity.
- Pre-processing equipment a clamp, rotator or fork positioner adds its own weight and reduces the residual capacity. Read residual capacity with attachments.
Include these details in your enquiry. We will then check in advance whether the lifting capacity at the requested height is right. The steps are set out in Which forklift do I need?
Frequently asked questions about tonnage
Can I rent a 1-tonne forklift?
The lightest rental forklift lifts 1.5 tonnes. You can also use it for loads of 1,000 kg. If you only move pallets across the floor, then often all you need is an electric pallet truck.
What is the heaviest forklift I can rent?
A 30-tonne diesel forklift. In electric the range goes up to 18 tonnes, with LPG up to 5 tonnes.
From which tonnage is the price on request?
From 4 tonnes. Up to and including 3.5 tonnes, the daily, weekly and monthly prices are listed on the site.
Is a heavier forklift always safer?
No. A heavier truck is larger and needs more room to turn. Choose the lifting capacity that suits your heaviest load and your working space.
