When should you rent an electric pallet truck?
Rent an electric pallet truck if pallets only need to be moved across the floor: from the lorry into the hall, between workstations or to dispatch. There are seven electric models from 1.5 to 2.5 tonnes, including two with a ride-on platform for longer distances. You can rent the lightest one for €45 per day, €112.50 per week or €393.75 per month. The other models cost €50 per day. All models are listed on the page pallet truck rental. When should you rent a stacker?
Rent a stacker if the pallet also needs to go onto racking or a mezzanine, up to approximately 5.4 metres. There are seven models from 1.2 to 2 tonnes: pedestrian models, compact models for a tight space and models with a ride-on platform. You can rent a 1.2-tonne stacker for €55 per day, €137.50 per week or €481.25 per month. The 1.6 and 2-tonne models cost €60 per day. View them under stacker rental.
When should you rent a reach truck?
Rent a reach truck if you need to go higher than a stacker can reach, or if you work in high racking all day. The three Hyundai reach trucks lift 1.6 or 2 tonnes, up to 13.5 metres high. The price is on request, because it depends on the mast and the lift height. The models are listed under reach truck rental. You can read about the difference from a stacker in stacker or reach truck.
Which truck should you rent for narrow aisles?
That depends on the height of your racking. For low racking in a tight space, a compact stacker is suitable. The reach truck is made for high racking in narrow aisles: the mast extends forwards, so it needs less aisle width than a forklift. If the truck also needs to drive outdoors or lift heavier pallets, then the choice is a 1.5, 1.8 or 2-tonne 3-wheel electric forklift. Read about this in rent compact forklift. Include the width of your aisles in your enquiry.
Warehouse truck or forklift?
A warehouse truck works on a level floor indoors. Do you also drive across an outdoor area, lift more than 2.5 tonnes or load lorries from the side? Then you rent a forklift. For indoors and paved outdoor areas, that is an electric forklift, from 1.5 to 18 tonnes. The comparison is set out in pallet truck, stacker or forklift rental.
