Environment & Foundation

• Indoors only, flat floor → Electric met non-marking tires.
• Mixed indoor/outdoor → LPG of electric with all-weather tires/cab.
• Primarily off-road/rough terrain → Diesel with coarse profile, cabin & heating.

Pro tip: Ramps > 8–10%: grating or paving stones? Choose larger tires and, if necessary, a higher power rating.

2) Determine lifting capacity (with a margin)

• Take the maximum load weight + 20–25% safety margin.
• Long loads (≥ 2.4 m) or high center of gravity → choose 1 class heavier (Rest capacity decreases).
• Thread lengthtypically ≈ track length (standard 1,200 mm; otherwise fork extensions).

Example: heaviest pallet 1,800 kg → choose at least 2.2–2.5 t.

3) Lifting height & mast type

• Min. lift height = highest shelf + 200–300 mm clearance.
• Triplex + tax-free allowance in low-clearance areas and high-rack environments.
• Duplex is often sufficient for standard heights.

Important: The higher you lift, the lower the Rest capacity. Request the residual capacity diagram if necessary.

4) Duration of use & energy consumption

• < 5 mcg/day Electric with intermediate charging is fine.
• 5–10 units/day or 2 shifts → electric with fast/intermittent charging or LPG/diesel.
• Continuous outdoor/heavy-duty → diesel or high-capacity electric with a powerful charger.
• Do you have 16A/32A Is there a charging station on site? If not, consider LPG or diesel.

5) Safety & Occupational Health

• Sideshift Standard advice: precision & fewer damages.
• Blue Spot/Red Zone for routes; cabin for outdoor work.
• Band choice adjust floor (non-marking/full rubber/coarse).

6) Logistics & Access

• Aisles trailer length + truck length + 200–400 mm clearance.
• Doors/gates: Clear height ≥ closed mast + 100 mm.
• Parking transport Hardened, level, and approximately 3 truck lengths of workspace.

• Short (day/week): peak, project, replacement.
• Language (12–72 months): fixed monthly price, Service & inspections included, often newly delivered.
